Tatakau Iji ga Aru

Online time has been scarce, but tomorrow I hope to finish and post a writeup on a miracle in May...

Today, though, am about to head out for my fifth annual birthday anime song marathon. Made it to 202 last year, but after that, M-sensei told me to never do anything like that again. Soooo...this time, instead of singing the entire song, figure I'll just sing its first verse. 300 one-verse songs should be about the same time and vocal wear as 150 songs with two and a half to three verses, right? ;^) My scores will get downgraded for stopping early, but Joysound's Utasuki system keeps a record of your last 300 songs, so I can print that afterwards for proof of the doofy feat.

So, will be back tomorrow--but in the meantime, here's Isao Bitou's tremendous "Ashita no Joe" performance from this year's NHK concert, finally up on YouTube. In this two-verse arrangement (which is actually the song's first and third verses), Bitou-san's delivery of the second verse's "oreranya tatakau iji ga aru" line gets me every time...

Off to test my own tatakau iji!
